  15. - From CD:
  16.   Run SETUP.EXE.

  18. - From Diskette:
  19.   for Windows 95/Windows NT 4.0, run SETUP32.EXE from Disk 1.
  20.  
  21.   for Windows 3.x, run SETUP16.EXE from Disk 2.

  26. 2.  Usage Notes
  27. ----------------

  29. - We recommend that you not use MagicMover to move development software
  30. packages, such as Borland C++ and Microsoft Visual C++.  They contain
  31. path information within projects, which point to various files(i.e. -
  32. include files) and miscellaneous directories or folders.  MagicMover
  33. may not be able to update that path information during a move
  34. operation.
  35.  
  36. - If you select multiple applications for a move operation, you will
  37. see the following message in the "Current Folder" field on Step 2 of
  38. the operation: "Multiple application source folders selected."  This is
  39. not an error and does not prevent you from continuing with the move
  40. operation.  It simply means there is more than one source folder for
  41. the applications selected.  For example, if you select the Myapps Start
  42. Menu group and within that group are links pointing to two different
  43. applications (C:\App1\App1.exe and C:\App2\App2.exe), there are two
  44. different source folders: C:\App1 and C:\App2.
  45.  
  46. - MagicMover will not move any application installed into or under the
  47. Windows or DOS directories.  Moving programs from the Windows or DOS
  48. directories could destabilize your system.
  49.  
  50. - Because Microsoft's Office 97 no longer installs each applet's
  51. executable into a separate directory, if you select one applet (i.e.
  52. Excel) to move to a new location, all of the Office 97 applets (i.e.
  53. Word, PowerPoint, etc.) will be moved to the new location.

  55. - If you create another partition within an extended partition, after
  56. installing MagicMover, you will need to launch the MagicMover options
  57. dialog and select the drive under the Drives to Scan in order for
  58. MagicMover to scan the newly created drive (partition).
  59.  
  60. - If you move a 32-bit program you may not be able to remove that
  61. program using its Add/Remove options.  The uninstall "scripts" may be
  62. written in a binary, not text,format.  At this time MagicMover is
  63. unable to open those "scripts" and update that information
